The causeway was littered with bodies. Blood covered everything. An ocean sat on either side, the waves breaking on the shore, as if undertaking the seemingly impossible task of cleaning up this bloody mess. One man stood amongst the fallen; a look of horror etched into his face.
“This can’t be happening. This can’t be happening.” he kept muttering to himself.
The sun glared down at the gruesome scene. A train can be seen approaching in the far off distance. The man looks startled yet relieved. He makes a break for it running towards the train.
“STOP! Stop the train!” the man shouts while trying to signal the driver.
The train doesn’t stop. It continues moving forward chugging hypnotically. The man runs to the side of the train and climbs on. It is a passenger train. He looks for a door to let himself in, and he eventually succeeds in that endeavor.
Inside the train, there isn’t a single person to be found. The man makes his way to the engineer’s cabin. One word can describe the scene: gruesome.
The train engineer’s body is everywhere, literally. Every surface painted crimson. Organs littered throughout, as if the engineer had exploded.
The man vomits.
